When you are wielding a Shield, it functions a situational Aspect you can use to aid Defend rolls, and you can use the Create an Advantage action to get free invocations of it.
This stunt confers two benefits in addition to the normal benefits of wielding a shield:

# When you are wielding a shield and your opponent's Attack roll ties your Defense, that's treated as a miss. Your opponent neither gets a Boost nor does any damage with that attack.
In addition, if your shield is not a buckler, you can use Fighting to Defend against ranged attacks.
#If your shield is larger than a buckler, you can use Fighting to Defend against ranged attacks.

 2. If your shield is larger than a buckler, you can use Fighting to Defend against ranged attacks.
