When you attack an opponent who is restrained or unaware of your presence, using an unarmed attack or a blunt melee weapon, you may choose to replace any physical Consequence you inflict with a situational Aspect, Knocked Out, which lasts until the end of the scene.
The GM can rule that very large creatures, and creatures with unusual physiology such as gelatinous cubes and golems, cannot be knocked out.
