Your character's Ancestry is what kind of fantasy people they descend from: for example, human, elf, dwarf, and so forth. Ancestry unlocks certain powers related to physical characteristics, and it may also suggest Aspects related to physical characters. Cultural characteristics are considered part of the character's Background and/or Archetype.
Mixed Ancestries
Every character must choose one ancestry. You can add a second if you want to. Then simply choose Aspects,, and Background(s) appropriate to either of those ancestries. You get more choices from having mixed ancestry, but you don't get more resources (Aspects, skill points, powers) to spend on those choices.
You can choose a third ancestry if you really want to, but it's not recommended.
List of Ancestries
Ancestries in Adventure Band 1.x are derived from the 5E SRD and Pathfinder SRD.
Future ancestries to consider:
- Catfolk
- Goblin
- Eternal (like the Deva from 4E)
